Tell me about tv show Heroes

No spoilers of course....

Is this it's first season? Two of my students insisted this was second season. But it's not out to rent yet, is it? Plus, there are some radio ads talking about the upcoming "final chapters" (as opposed to "season finale"). Is it ending?

I watched what I took to be th 1st ep on-line and was intrigued, but then the next choice is #9 or something. Guide me through this confounding process...

I love the show. I am pretty sure this will have many seasons. The show is very popular.

3. It's the first season, but it keeps having freaking long breaks.

There is a gap in the online shows, because Heroes is going into a 6 week set of reruns, without regard to the fact that it went off the air for at least six weeks in the winter.

It's a fast-paced show with great characters. I suggest you watch the first episode and then catch up with the reruns.

There are also reruns on the Sci-Fi channel, I think.

I figured it had to be a long break or something to get my students thinking "second season" if this was indeed the first.

Looks like I have 14 to watch, i.e. seen the 1st and 16-18 appear to be the gap you mentioned.
