Name some of your favorite Queen songs.
Here's a few of mine.

Somebody to Love- I someday hope to torture a large crowd with a karaoke version of this song. Love it.

39- beautiful and melancholy. Proved that Brian May could carry a tune as well as Freddie.

Don't Stop Me Now- quite possibly the gayest song ever written- and that's a good thing.

Good Old Fashioned Loverboy- I make the SO chuckle every time I play "air triangle" on the "dining at the ritz" line.

You're My Best Friend- beautiful.

I'm in Love with My Car- so absurd and bombastic it's good. Despite some overt sexual innuendo, it really is about a man's love for his car.

4. I like the one about the Faerie Queen
It's on that album that's got a white side and a black side. Queen II? I can't remember the name of the album right now. But I like everything on that album.

But the other is good too. I like Queen's early stuff much better than the later albums.

46. me too, for the most part
My favorites are from Sheer Heart Attack up to News Of The World, although I really like the first two albums, and Jazz and The Game are decent too. After The Game, they were pretty hit or miss - some songs brilliant, others... not so much.

I do wish I had seen them when Freddie was alive.

Love it - I just got the 12" and blasted it at home last night. What a great tune - it mixes in with Bicycle Race on the single.

17. I was in a Target or some store
and the instrumental of that song was playing on the stereo (a stereo they had for sale, not the store sound system) and it sounded very cool. Great tune, but admittedly maybe anything would have sounded cool to a guy who only has a boombox at home.

9. These Are the Days of Our Lives
Sometimes I get to feelin
I was back in the old days - long ago
When we were kids when we were young
Things seemed so perfect - you know
The days were endless we were crazy we were young
The sun was always shinin - we just lived for fun
Sometimes it seems like lately - I just dont know
The rest of my life's been just a show

Always reminds me of my teenage years, hanging out with friends, riding horses. Kind of a nostalgia song for me.

19. I've been a huge queen fan since 1977 or so
thanks to my older brother. Favorites:

My Melancholy Blues - simply gorgeous piano. A simple loung-ish fun song, but also very touching. AMAZING vocals.

Under Pressure - still sounds great and gives me chills

Tie Your Mother Down, March of the Black Queen/Funny How Love Is, all of Sheer Heart Attack, the song Sheer Heart Attack..

shit, just say every song on every album up to and including The Game, and quite a few songs after that. lol

29. Just about all of them but here are a few favorites
"Fat Bottom Girls" - because I am one and damn proud of it too
"Drowse" - it's just a wondrously melodic tune that gets me into a good mood
"Some Day, One Day" - Another song that gives me hope
"My Melancholy Blues" - Now here's a secret being revealed to DUers for the first time ever: I have a secret fantasy of singing this song in public sometime, use to think I'd do it like how Michelle Pfeifer sang in 'Fabulous Baker Boys'. I know all the lyrics by heart and it's actually in a range where my voice can best sing.

34. "The Seven Seas of Rhye"
Fear me you lords and lady preachers
I descend upon your earth from the skies
I command your very souls you unbelievers
Bring before me what is mine
The seven seas of Rhye

Can you hear me you peers and privy councillors
I stand before you naked to the eyes
I will destroy any man who dares abuse my trust
I swear that you'll be mine
At the seven seas of Rhye

Sister I live and lie for you
Mister do and now die
You are mine I possess you
I belong to you forever

Storm the master marathon I'll fly through
By flash and thunder fire I'll survive
(I'll survive, I'll survive)
Then I'll defy the laws of nature
And come out alive
Then I'll get you

Begone with you you shod and shady senators
Give out the good, leave out the bad evil cries
I challenge the mighty titan and his troubadours
And with a smile
I'll take you to the seven seas of Rhye

"Radio Ga-Ga," for the nostalgia and because Freddie owned audiences with it.

"Tie Your Mother Down," because it's just great hard rock.

"Bring Back Leroy Brown."

"My Melancholy Blues." Beautiful, beautiful song.

"Bicycle Race."

"Killer Queen."

"Fat Bottomed Girls."

"Sheer Heart Attack."

"All Dead, All Dead."

...and many, many more.
