List at least one of your idiosyncrasies.
Edited on Thu Mar-15-07 03:23 PM by The Night Owl
I'll start...

I hate rounded patch pockets.

Edit:

Another idiosyncracy...

I like to make changes to my posts after I make them.

4. I don't know if this is an idiosyncrasy or not
but I always, always confuse words when I am typing.

I'm starting to get on my own nerves with it.

there, their
no, know

to, two, too
sense, since
when, win

It drives me nuts but I can't control it, spellchecks won't catch it, and I never see it when I re-read.

10. It's almost impossible for me to stay still.
Even if I'm riding in a bus, in theory immobilized, I will move my feet, or play an invisible piano, or tense various muscles in a repeated sequence (calf, calf, buttock, buttock, forearm, forearm). You wouldn't notice this unless you spent a lot of time with me, because I'm discreet.

12. I get very unnerved in places with no windows
this includes some office buildings, basements, factories, warehouses, etc. It has nothing to do with a space/claustrophobia issue - I still feel that way in a huge warehouse where I can see 200 ft away.

I feel like I'm in a dungeon or bunker. :scared:

In the same vein, if I'm travelling I always need to have a window seat.

I always rinse meat from the bathtub faucet, never in the kitchen sink.

14. My cereal bowl thing is one
Edited on Thu Mar-15-07 04:20 PM by LuckyTheDog
I have this favorite cereal bowl. When it is dirty, I use my second favorite. When neither is clean, I either wash one of them or I don’t eat cereal. We have many other bowls. But there are only two that I use for cereal. When I have to use bowl #2, I don’t enjoy my cereal quite as much. And, oh, by the way, both bowls are identical except for the color.

I add up the numbers, then add the letters to that (using their corresponding number in the alphabet...A=1, B=2 and so on), then divide the total by the number of characters on the license plate. It makes me very happy when it divides evenly with no remainder.

Yeah, I'm a HUGE math geek.

60. I'm kind of a picky eater (I have rules) but I am fat.
Certain foods shouldn't touch, others shouldn't be mixed, don't like soggy bread etc. When I get nervous I can't eat at all - I actually tend to LOSE weight around the holidays.

I'm controlling and neurotic about the dashboard in a vehicle. My radio station, air set the way I need it, vents pointing all the right ways. Doesn't matter what seat I'm in.

The kitchen counters must be clean before food prep can begin. I can be a real pain when helping friends at their houses...why do they allow so much clutter? How can they work with all that crap in the way? All I have out on my counters are a knife block, cutting boards (standing on edge near the sink) salt and pepper and one container of larger stove type utensils/wooden spoons.

62. Left foot always gets the sock and shoe put on first
left leg always gets the pants/undewear first, left arm gets put in the sleeve/bra strap first.

I do not write in cursive (if you saw my hand writing, you'd understand).

I can deal with any and all smells associated with animals (including poo, puke, blood, abscesses, etc), but the smell/sight of human vomit (including baby spit-up) makes me hurl, just ask poor Dropkid.

I always have to eat the upper crease part of the sandwich last or I feel weird.
