Poll question: Vote for your favorite sci-fi show!
By tying the stated episode name with the series!

(for example, "Timelash" = "Doctor Who")

1. Um...Firefly...
I don't really have a favorite episode, unless Serenity the movie counts as an episode?

2. I only had 10 choices - 9 plus 'other' as there are many series out there...
:D

'Serenity', while being a movie, does feel like an episode due to the camera direction - but I think that was the intent... either way, I still loved that movie... :D

6. Twilight Zone
It still holds up! I'd watch a marathon if they had one on.

15. it's a double episode (antique spolier)
Edited on Thu Mar-15-07 08:51 PM by Cobalt-60
It has elements of the Guns of Navarrone and the Dirty Dozen.
Although it was filmed in 1978 and 1979, I gave the spoiler warning.
Galactica and fleet are herded into the field of fire of a monster cannon.
Said gun is on an ice world, and the only specialists they have are in the prison barge.
The team is rounded out with pilots, including Starbuck , who hacked the personnel file to get in for personal reasons.
They land on the ice world and well, I just don't want to give away the rest, save to say that this is not the last episode for Starbuck or the Galactica.
There is an amusing moment when one of the convict/commandos is being interrogated by the Cylons and replies with "I've always been a little anti - social".
See it!

and he thinks he's going to silicon heaven.

The guys give him a big send off on his last night. The funniest Sci-Fi scene ever.

18. There's a lot of good there
Exodus part II has to be the top ep so far.
I like the series, but I need to see the outcome of this season before I
consider it for my own hall of fame.

17. I can't select a single winner
Edited on Thu Mar-15-07 08:50 PM by Cobalt-60
Red Dwarf definitely rules the Sci Fi comedy roost, and the Kryten replacement is a particularly good one.
As for serious Sci Fi series,
I put Babylon 5 (the pre-Turner seasons) at the top of the Epic Space Operas.
Naturally Doctor Who rules among series written around an individual.
for ensemble series featuring a relatively small team, my choice is Blake's Seven.
I could go on, but will stop with the statement that the best episodes of the Original Galactica series are probably the Living Legend parts 1 and 2.

19. I like the one where Blair gets Natalie addicted to No-Doze to pass her final exams.
Damn that Blair. In syndication they cut out the scene where Mrs Blair scissor kicks her in retribution.

20. Convenient.
Unless my memory is completely failing me, there was both a Classic Trek and a Space:1999 episode called "The Immunity Syndrome" - so I can vote for two of my favorites at once. :)

"In Dino Veritas" is a great episode title.

It should have been about Dean Martin, not dinosaurs. :P
