So I'm going to miss work for 2 more weeks...(Pic of the evil dog included)

A couple of weeks ago I had an accident involving Bailey, our "pup".


For some reason he stopped short on the stairs and I went over him. Landed in a very weird way and really hurt my ankle. The next day I couldn't stand on it so Paul took me to the emergency room. They X-rayed it and the doctor gave me a "boot". He told me that I had chipped a tiny sliver off the bone, but it wasn't anything to be concerned about. Then he said he wanted me to see an orthopedic surgeon.

Went to see him. He told me I ripped the tendons in my right ankle and that I would have to wear a brace for a while. I asked about work. He asked what I do. I told him that my job involves walking 23 flights of stairs every night. No, he said, that's not happening.

I have an appointment to see him again this Thursday, but we got a letter in the mail with a return to work date as April 4th at the earliest.

So this means that I'll have missed a month of work. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I REALLY want to go back.

Dayam, that's a bummer. I'm sure your "pup" didn't mean to hurt you, but it sucks just the same.

Was that I was taking them out to go to the bathroom. While I'm laying on the ground writhing in pain he's standing there with his leg in the air, unsure what to do because he REALLY needed to go.
