Glorious Weekend pix (extreme dial-up warning)

After a morning run, replete with many ice cream headaches, my buddy the part-time wedding photographer decided to change into dry clothes and bust out his good camera. His presence and good cheer was missed out on the river, but damn, I'd say these pictures more than make up for it!

I've never kicked off a photo thread, and I ain't sure what this will turn into, but this weekend was one of the finest I've had in a while, I hope y'all don't mind if I share some of the joy! :) Ths series is me running what I think is a fairly sweet line down "Triple drop" on the Vermillion river--notice at the end how I almost disappear behind a feature known as "Railroad Hole" but skirt it to the left of the frame without having to bulldoze the mammoth foam pile!

very good camera, especially that last shot, the water looks frozen!
It's too loud for me to do, I'd get bugged-out, but I have friends who are like addicted to this.

The series of me coming down the slide, the first shot is from a good 225 yards away--maybe as many as 250--even allowing for photobucket's trimming you can see the expression on my face; the full size images are stunning.

It was sunny, kinda on the cool side, but the water was beautiful. I awoke Sunday sore but content! :)
