What a woman should have:
Edited on Mon Mar-19-07 11:14 AM by Raven
* Enough money within her control to move out and rent a place of her own even if she never wants to or needs to.

* a youth she's content to leave behind.

* a past juicy enough that she's looking forward to retelling it in her old age

* a set of screwdrivers, a hammer and a cordless drill

* one friend who always makes her laugh and one who lets her cry

* one good piece of furniture bot previously owned by anyone else in her family

* a feeling of control over her destiny

WHAT EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW:

* how to fall in love without losing herself

* how to quit a job, break up with a lover and confront a friend without ruining the friendship

* when to try harder and when to walk away

* that she can't change the length of her legs, the width of her hips or the nature of her parents

* that her childhood may not have been perfect, but it's over

* what she would and wouldn't do for love

* how to live alone

* whom she can trust, whom she can't and why she shouldn't take it personally

* where to go when her sould needs soothing

* what she can and can't accomplish in a day, a month, a year

This came to me by email. I don't know who wrote it but I thought it was pretty good. Care to add to it?

4. I like it! And I would add to the furniture one:
* One piece of furniture that she did not have to ASSEMBLE prior to using.

I'll be 49 years old soon, and aside from a few pieces of furniture (like my couch, easy chair and dining room set) I have had to assemble every lousy rotten stick of every bed frame, futon, end table, nightstand, book shelf, computer stand, entertainment center, china cupboard, patio furniture, and etc. that I own!

I hate that, and I am getting to old to be crawling around on the floor with a screwdriver and a hammer, swearing and sweating for hours. When it comes right down to it, I guess I'm just too cheap to pay for the pre-assembled stuff. :)
