Your opinion of the name 'Brent'?
As a first name, I mean. I've gotten different reactions about it from people throughout my life: "unique", "preppy-sounding", "hard to say", "weird", "dumb"...

6. It worked for Brent Spiner
Lt. Data on Star Trek: TNG.

Can't say as I've known any Brents in person, though.

8. I think it's a great name...
because it's my name, too. I've had people call me Trent, Brett, Brad, Kent, and Brick (I have no idea why he called me Brick). I had a woman call me Dave right after I told her my name was Brent.
How she got Dave from Brent, I'll never know.

I didn't meet another Brent until I was 21. I was always the only Brent at school.

I've had the name for almost 47 years, and I've always liked it.

10. Hard to say?
:wtf:

I like it fine. I'm a bit more into classic names (If I had a son, he'd be "Harris" after my grandfather), but Brent seems like a perfectly fine name to me. In fact, it seems like a strong name. Yep, I definitely like it.

Seriously, don't pay attention to anyone who says Brent is "hard to say". What's with that?

11. As long as it doesn't end in Musberger, it's alright with me!
It is pretty unique. Too bad you have to share it with you know who.

12. It's OK ...
I know of two personally: knew one in school (I'm 44); another is probably in his mid-30s. This being a small-town, semi-rural area, neither was preppie.

Of course, I'm not too keen on Brent Scowcroft or Brent Musberger
