How Busy Are You?
I work 50 hours a week.

I am taking two classes this semester.

I barely seem to have time to breathe.

So how busy are you guys?

2. Not at all.
I don't work.

I don't go to school.

I take time to stop and smell the roses all day long.

Yes, I'm a total slacker. :P

31. It is true.
Except for the socialite part. They wouldn't let me join, something about pajamas and house shoes not being acceptable daytime attire. :P:

4. Right now, not a bit
Out of work on disability following knee surgery. I fool around on DU, exercise and pretend to clean the house.

As of the first week of April, very busy. I'll be working 40 hours a week and taking 4 classes.

All or nothing in my life, I guess.

7. I'm a disability pensioner. I'm renovating a house.
Edited on Thu Mar-22-07 12:57 PM by neweurope
I plaster and I paint, using masking tape. Taking the masking tape off, the plaster comes off with it. So I replaster and re-paint... And I'm getting sick of it.
I also have two horses to take care of and a garden to create in a sand wilderness. I'm pretty damned busy. And I'm in pain. :(

It peels off easier, from what I understand. :hi:

13. Thanks for the tip! But we don't have that here in
Germany:( The house is from 1928 and the walls are sanding. And unfortunately I am obsessed by old fashioned casein colours and stencils and whatnot... I have all rooms done but two, and those two evidently never get finished *sigh*
I want on somebody's lap and have my head stroked

8. It varies.
I work 60 hours per week but the pace varies, which is why I have time to check in here a few times per day.

My 4 hours of commuting every day is a bit excessive, but at least I get to read for most of it, so that's okay too.

It could definitey be worse.

9. I'm a full time student
five classes each 80 minutes long.
I do a lot of reading and I have a few big, important papers coming up.
Once I read something carefully, I tend to remember it, so I don't do much studying or looking things over.
I'm graduating in May, so I quit my job and just keep putting expenses on my credit card...I've had a job since I was 14...so this is pretty excellent.

11. My work week is 60 hours
I'm at the gym every morning at 5 to work out. I go back at night after work to take a class or in the summer we'll do a road ride. I'm on the board of directors for he Bicycle Coalition of Maine, an advocacy group, I volunteer for the American Diabetes Association and I'm on the organizing committee for the American Folk Festival, an annual open to the public event that draws about 150,000 visitors a year. I guess my calendar is pretty full.

14. busy, busy, busy
Job is 40 hours a week, but it's about 100 miles away, so that takes up a bunch of time, then:

I have a 15 month old daughter, I take care of her while my wife works on the weekend

Part-time job #1, my band. We are only playing about 2 nights a month now, but every little bit of exrtra money helps.

Part time job #2, my recording studio/CD duplication service. Jobs are sporadic these days, more live recording jobs than anything, but again, every bit of extra money helps these days.

so, I get 4-6 hours of sleep most nights, that's the explanation why I seem so batty most of the time. :hi:

15. Not very
30 hours a week for work.

A nice, slow 1.5 hour walk to and from work.

No kids, no girlfriend, but then I'm an American with no car and no money, so, I'm not busy wondering why. Plus I ain't pretty.

I don't much like time, yet I have so much of it. It's also going quicker as I get older(only 28, but the last 14 years are a total blur). It's crazy.

16. I have two jobs...
One (i'm at now), cube-dweller, 40 hrs. week, pretty much eats up my week cuz I end up going to bed earlier than I like, I have less energy, less motivation...because my job is boring as hell. I spend most of my time trying to find ways to kill time between answering the phone and copying/filing stuff. Thank goodness for DU!

The other job, part-time, retail (bookstore), I enjoy more, but I only work one day a week right now. That job keeps me busy while i'm working.

But this fall I'll be starting grad school....so things will get a lot busier.

I hope you get some time off soon! :)

25. I'm a med student
I'd say I'm at school about 100 hours a week. Weekends have ceased to exist. I haven't had more than a 3 day weekend in 5 years. My stress level is unbelievably high. So yeah, I'd say I'm pretty busy.

29. Heh. Thanks.
It's not so bad, really--I love what I do. And it's certainly a bed I made for myself.

Speaking of which, I should get back to work. I need to study hard so I can have my bentley (and mercedes) and victorian mansion and get crucified on DU for being a freeper and not caring about my patients. ;-)

Just hanging out at home.

33. Lately it's "how busy can I look"
I have tried to get them to throw extra work my way. Feh.

So now I volunteer doing logistics with a nonprofit to kill time and only spend 2-3 hours a workday on DU vs. 4-5. I swear I am not kidding.
