Name someone who succeeded....
in spite of his/her name.

I go with Cloris Leachman:

who is, by the way, a very pretty woman.

4. Andy Dick
Although I'm not sure I would call him "successful," but his name hasn't seemed to hinder whatever success he has had.

And I totally agree on Cloris Leachman, she's absolutely beautiful.

6. Oddly enough
that was his stage name. He chose to work under that name. his real name is Arnold Dorsey, so some might say stage name was an improvement.

He named himself after a German composer from the 19th Century.

Huh? When you mention her name. I think she is far and away one of the BEST comedic actresses out there, but people don't seem to recognize her name. She needs to have her name in big giant flashing letters in the opening credits of everything she does!!

Edited on Tue Mar-27-07 01:10 PM by sammythecat
Maybe because it's his real name, but, for me, Gordon Sumner seems to fit him. Although it would also be a good fit for someone with a more imposing physical presence. :) Someone like Fred Thompson could play a Gordon Sumner.

I can't think of what name does fit him, but it's not Gordon.
