Please help: I'm soliciting suggestions
Next week my wife and I have our 15th wedding anniversary (YIKES! :wow: where has the time gone??) and I have absolutely NO IDEA what to get/do to celebrate. We don't have much money - so fancy jewelery is probably out (i.e. diamonds etc).

I'm just not good with this stuff. I lack the "shopping gene". My mind works in terms of power tools and small appliances - which might not be a "good thing" for this occasion. Any suggestions (especially from the DUers of the feminine persuasion) would be MUCH appreciated.

1. Would she enjoy a mini-spa day?
maybe just a facial and a pedicure? Massage?

Does she like to read?

Is there some music she'd like for her iPod?

What about just a day you two can spend together.... hiking somewhere, picnic lunch, dinner reservations...?

2. I think an event would be in order.
Maybe send her some flowers during the day with a note to be ready for a night of passion by a certain time. Find a nice place for dinner and a hotel for the night. Get her something. A small piece if jewelry should do. And more flowers.

4. For our 15th anniversary
We went on a land-based cruise. We didn't like the idea of a real cruise, plus everybody comes back from cruises talking about nothing but the food, so we figure if it's all about food, you don't need the ship!

We went to a different restaurant every night for a week. It was kind of like one of those ancient celebrations that goes on for days on end.

But if you've got money problems, you'll need coupons.

BTW: Next year (August '08) we hit the 25 year mark.

5. Wow - 25 years!
Congratulations on that!

I can't imagine 25 years. Then again - I couldn't imagine 15 years either when I first got hitched. I was sure she'd have smartened up and rid herself of me by now :P
