Gina - a great performance that was full of feeling. Made the Pretenders proud. That's the kind of talent I saw when she did the Evanescence song.

Haley - she was pleasant, but too cutesy. If she could project better, she'd do well on Broadway.

Blake - not as unique, but the song allowed him to show he has a nice voice behind the flash.

Jordin - picking a contemporary No Doubt song was wise, but the song didn't allow her to show off her voice. Even on Gwen's version, the background singers really help make the song. A step down from an impressive performance last week.

LaKisha - Donna Summer was perfect for her. She made it sound fresh and new!

Chris R. - well, what can I say. His tone again brought down the song IMO.

Chris S. - had to agree with the judges. It sounded like a performance from a Police Roast event.

Sanjaya - the problem was he was way too flat. Not as much of a disaster as I expected when I heard he was doing that song, though. The hair WOULD be bad off stage.

Melinda - solid, but I'm worried she's going on autopilot too much.

Phil - verses too devoid of personality. Soared nicely a bit in the middle, though.

I'd say either Chris Sligh or Haley goes this week.

Haley obviously didn't take McPhee's strategy of less clothing = more votes that close to heart since she seemed to abandon it after only one week.
