A good joke reflecting our times

GOT THIS IN EMAIL TODAY

This old Arab had been living in Chicago for more than 40 years. He'd love to plant some potatoes in his tiny garden, but he's alone and old and weak. His son studies in Paris. So, the old man goes and writes an e-mail to his son and explains him the problem.

"Dear Ahmed, I'm very sad because I can't plant any potatoes in my garden. I'm sure that if you were here you'd help and dig up the garden for me. Love. Your father."

The very next day the old man gets this e-mail back:

"Dad! In Allah's name don't do anything in the garden! That's where I've hidden "it".
Love. Ahmed."

At 4 a.m. the US Army, the Marines, the FBI, the CIA and the RANGERS come to the house of the old man.

They look EVERYWHERE, dig up the whole garden, examinate every inch and find... nothing. Very reluctant they apologise and leave.

The next day the old man get's a new e-mail from his son: "Dear father, I'm sure you're garden has been dug up since my last e-mail and you can plant your potatoes now. That's all I could do for you. Love. Ahmed..."

It certainly reflects our times, doesn't it?

Donald Rumsfeld is giving the President his daily briefing on Iraq. He concludes by saying: "Yesterday, 3 Brazilian soldiers were killed."

"OH NO!" the President exclaims. "That's terrible!" His staff sits stunned at this display of emotion, nervously watching as the President sits, head in hands. Finally, President looks up and asks, "How many is a brazillion?"
