Really proud of one of my kids.
She donated 10 inches of her hair to Locks of Love. She had been trying to grow it out for the past three years. One of her classmates organized a "cut-a-thon" for her senior project - aranged for a local stylest to donate the cuts and managed to get about 20 kids (all girls?) to cut their hair. (small town - small school)

AND it is a great cut - she looks much cuter this way.

This is a kid who has had some problems - she is turning out pretty good - I am proud of her. And myself. She is actually my niece. We have had her since she was about 3, her birth mother is one of my sisters. A total fuck up that I have HUGE issues about - but my niece is turning out pretty good considering all the baggage we both have.

2. I'm proud of you...
and your daughter/niece. Not everyone would take that responsibility, but you did. Kudos!!:yourock:

3. I will also donate mine to locks of love this summer.
Mine grows so fast that it will be this length again in no time!

4. You have reason to be proud!
Your niece has her heart in the right place, and so do you.

6. That's great - you have reason to be proud
And proud of yourself too for taking her in. My 9 year old granddaughter has done this twice - what a great way to teach kids about compassion!
