Question - what does "buddy list" do?
I was just changing my timezone setting and realized I have no clue what "buddy list" means.

2. easy access spot to PM people and whatnot
I have the people I PM the most on mine so I don't have to track them down in threads (which I do half the time anyways)

3. It's a handy repository
If you want to PM someone, you don't have to hunt 'em down in a thread if they're on your buddy list.

I hardly ever pm anybody so I guess that is why I never used it - I thought maybe it did something like put an icon like the star for doners on them or made it easy to search for their posts or stalk them or...?
