I must be getting old
Things hurt now that didn't used to. I can no longer sit on the floor cross-legged for an hour because when I try to get up..ouch!

Today I reached for something and hurt something in my shoulder. It's bad enough that it is hard to take my shirt off over my head. Well that actually might be related to lifting weights yesterday or sleeping on it funny.

The fine print is getting finer but I have no need for glasses yet.

Yet, I still play soccer. Not well, mind you, but then I never did. But I pay for it the next day!

1. Jobs that entail 'getting down and getting back up'?
I give serious thought now to how I can do it at at least waist level.

7. I never thought it would come to this
But getting out of bed in the morning sometimes hurts. Is this what I have to look forward to? There must be some kind of drugs I can take. LOL.

5. I had a dream last night...
...that I went to the frat house I used to frequent when I was a hot young student sometime last century. There was this cute guy there and I was flirting with him. I tried to stand up, and I couldn't get out of my chair because my hip was bothering me. He helped me out of the chair as if he were a boy scout helping an old lady across the street. Then his 17-year-old girlfriend appeared and said, "Do you mind if I call you Mom? I just found out you're old enough to be my mom."

How the hell did THIS happen?

6. I have no idea
I remember thinking that I would be 32 in the year 2000 and that seemed impossible at the time (I was probably in high school). It's weird to see actors/sports figures who are half my age.

16. In 2000
I turned sixty and quit working. Seems like every year it takes longer and longer to accomplish less and less.

8. I can't do the headbanging of my youth.
If I try, my neck and shoulder muscles will pay for it for DAYS.

12. I suppose it is
Also, music is often too loud for me, like at the gym or something. "If it's too loud, you're too old". So I guess that's me.

14. Sitting cross-legged for an HOUR?!
Try assuming that position and realizing it already hurts. I don't remember the day I realized that was true for me, but that's been the case for some time.

We need an ouch smiley, don't we?

"Oh, you don't know the state I'm in."
