Why do restaurant ads hype up adjectives as if they were 'marital aids for single people',
Especially when you get to the restaurant and the food isn't exactly what the commercial claims it is. You know, 'decadent', crisp', 'fresh', 'country _____', 'spicy', et cetera?

And why is it called 'baby spinach'? It's smaller spinach. Why try to make me feel guilty over eating baby life forms??

Don't spend hundreds of thousands of dollars for a 30 second advert to tell us what may or may NOT be true, just DO it and give us a price reduction for the difference by not having to make the advertisement in the first place! :P

1. And why does food in commercials look better than the real thing?
I know it's because they use fake food in the commercials but it still is a lie.

2. They're not allowed to use fake food in commercials.
What they show must be the same as what they sell.

However, the food in the commercials is made pretty by food stylists, unlike the food at the actual restaurant.

4. Well maybe it was food in photographs
Like in magazines or something. I oculd have sworn they (whoever it was) said they used shaving cream instead of whipped cream (I guess so it wouldn't melt under the lights).

Still, it always looks a lot better in the commercials. For me, food only has to taste good but the appearance does matter a little.

3. We had a client at WYTE who asked that I do all of their commercials...
because somehow I made the food sound sexy. It was kind of fun.
