Randy Couture stripped of UFC title
:mad: This is insane. Apparently, the state athletic commission doesn't agree with title fights involving fighters over 40, so they have returned the belt to Tim Sylvia! What is wrong with these people? I don't think it matters if Couture is 30, 40 or even 50! He can still get in there and beat anybody they put in front of him. This is completely ridiculous!!

2. I don't follow UFC, and I'm to lazy to do a google search, so explain:
Did he win the title when he was 40+, or did he turn 40 as champion, at which point he was stripped of the title? Either way, that sounds like incredible bullshit - a guy can either do the sport or he can't, and the age milestone is irrelevant. (I'd guess with things like UFC this kind of 'protection' is particularly unnecessary - I doubt these guys have any illusions about what they're in for and whether they can take it...)
