Mario...and Sonic?
Oh yes!
For those who have the Wii and the DS, later this year, a Sonic the Hedgehog/Mario team-up game is coming out.

Mario, Sonic qualify for Wii, DS Olympics

Famous Sega and Nintendo characters will star together in Olympic Games-themed sports title on Nintendo platforms later this year.

Two of video games' most recognisable icons will soon be competing against each other. Sega and Nintendo have announced a new title, Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, which will be released on the Nintendo Wii and DS. This will be the first time that the two well-known digital stars have appeared in a game together.

Other characters that gamers will be able to play as or against include Luigi, Knuckles, Yoshi, and Tails. The environments in the game will be based on the venues at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, and events include table tennis, 100 metres running, and swimming.

1. Now if I could only find a Wii
All those games will be old by the time I will find one I guess. No store anywhere here ever has them.

2. I just got a Wii, but it took some work!
I decided I wanted to get one, and called all over Portland, but for weeks there were none in stock. Finally I asked someone at one of the stores if they actually ever get them, and what would be the best way to get one myself. She told me when their shipments usually arrived, and told me to call around those times on those days. I tried that for a couple of weeks to no avail, then one day they told me that they had just opened a shipment with one Wii in it. They wouldn't hold it for me, but I just drove over and bought it right away.

Also, a little friendliness towards your local game store employee will go a long way. I acknowledged how tired of the situation they must be, and they became a lot more forthcoming with advice about how to get one. Those people may make minimum wage, but they hold a lot of information about shipping dates, so make them your friend rather than the jerkoff teenager who stands between you and the game system you want to buy.

Good luck!
