Can I stay in the Lounge for an hour?

By which I don't mean "Mother, may I?" but what are the odds I can actually do this?

I have this overwhelming urge to read every thread in GD, and elsewhere. The more inflammatory the title, the more likely I will click on it. It's making me miserable. I am clearly oversensitive (if my large Ignore list is any indication, I'm a big, bawling baby). I don't know why I care if knuckleheads have stupid opinions. (Worse, though, is people I really like and admire, as much as one can on a two-dimensional website, sharing opinions that are not stupid, but make me feel like a terrible, uncrossable chasm exists between us, leaving me feeling horribly alone.)

I'm going to try this experiment and stay in here for one hour.

At first I said to myself, "Stay out of GD for one week!" and then I realized that I was getting shaky and sick just thinking about it. So I thought, okay, one day. And then I felt like I was going to have to run there immediately and read everything in sight, like someone was trying to take my chocolate away. (As if GD was anywhere near as tasty as chocolate. This is clearly a sickness.)

So anyway, don't mind me over here in the corner. I might start to see pink elephants in a minute though, so if you hear any ranting or panicked slapping at invisible bugs, just ignore it.

i can tell you this beats the hell out of gd

hell gd is like the lounge sometimes lately anyhow, only with teeth

I seem to be having a toothy synchronicity moment...hmmm...I wonder if I can post something about teeth or biting in every thread in the Lounge?
