ESPN boxing analyst Al Bernstein is obviously a good Democrat

Based on a humorous exchange I heard on his ESPN radio show this afternoon.

Bernstein, who is from Chicago, said he was talking to a nephew yesterday, advising him to root for the Packers vs. Philly. Bernstein's brother-in-law works for the Carolina Panthers and they would have hosted Green Bay, instead of visiting the Eagles.

"But they're the PACKERS," the nephew said, dumbfounded. "THE PACKERS..."

"Next thing I know, you'll be telling me to vote for a Republican."

Bernstein and his co-host laughed at the absurdity for several seconds. "No, it will never go that far," Bernstein said. "Trust me, that won't happen."

That's at least two from our side on ESPN. Sunday Night football play-by-play man Mike Patrick described himself during an early season telecast as "the last surviving liberal"

I think Al does some good work on boxing. He seems like a decent guy on the air, too.

Max Kellerman from Around the Horn is also a Dem.

I suspect Tom Jackson is probably a Democrat as well.

Chris Berman was pleasant to work w., but as to being a Democrat, I am not sure. ESPN had Maggot-Face (Reichwing) John G. Rowland visit the set, and... trying to remember here... I think they appeared at the some special ESPN function. (CT gave/gives ESPN TONS of tax breaks.) I did ask Chris Berman why he was hanging out w. Rowland? He laughed it off, but was polite. I don't know if he was obliged to be sociable to Rowland, or liked him.
