BB Pops Out Of Boy's Eye

ELDRIDGE, Iowa -- An Eldridge teenager couldn't believe his eyes when a BB popped out of one of them.

Jeff Enslow, 17, was hit in the eye by something during a drive-by shooting about two weeks ago outside a Davenport strip mall.

He lost vision in his right eye and was planning to have surgery, but that all changed when he rubbed his eye recently while sitting at his computer and the BB popped out. As a result, doctors said he should hold off on surgery and give his eye more time to heal.

Police said no arrests have been made in the shooting.

Enslow's mother said police have asked for the BB for evidence.
