Casey the Beagle is back at her usual evening location, on the couch and welded to
my left leg as she dozes away (and snores).

She spent last night at the animal hospital after getting her puppy-maker removed yesterday, and boy, is she glad to be home and back to the old routines.

1. Good. Now you can train her to fetch you beers from the fridge.

2. But the real trick is going to be teaching her to pour the shot of Jack Daniel's.
But she's a smart pup; it shouldn't take too long.

3. Maybe she learn how to pour a shot of jack
but don't expect a martini. They go WAY too heavy on the vermouth.

4. Awww. Bless her heart. Mine always get real cold and shakey after their operations.
Cover her up real nice and snuggly tonight.

I get my new puppy on Friday.

21. A gorgeous Boxer girl. A reverse brindle....which won't mean much to non-Boxer owners.
But she is a beauty. We have waited for her for a long time.

She's the pick of the litter for us!

6. Aw, sweet little girl doggie.
Is she woozy, or OK? Probably so incredibly relieved to be back at your side!

How's the kitty doing these days?

:hi:

10. Woozy? Are you kidding? She's a beagle! We have to watch her like a hawk to make
sure she doesn't try to jump up on to the bed, which is a bit too high for her with stitches. But she'll try it anyway.

Kitty's doing great. And it was kind of touching yesterday when she was wandering around the house, wondering where her big sister had disappeared to. She does like the puppy, even though the pup gets a bit too enthusiastic for her now and again.

12. Well, I don't kiss animals, but Mrs R does, so I showed her your post and she did.
Mrs R says thanks for the post, because it gave her an excuse to ask the puppy for more Mama Kisses.

13. gives new meaning to the term "lucky dog"
"welded to my leg" - I want to come back as a puppy dog and be one of the Redstone's pets.

I've got the bitch part down pat ;)

:hi:

16. Oh, you. Cher, you know like every real Southern Woman how to pack many layers of meaning
into just a few words. Even when those words are written, rather than spoken.

Don't be looking at me for a minute or two, cher, you hear, because I'm going to blush right now.

15. My dear Redstone!
Glad to hear all this good news....

And especially glad to hear that Casey is happily welded back to your leg!

I'm glad to see you posting tonight...

You've been missed lately, due to your being so busy working and all...

Welcome home...

I'm going to post a poem I wrote in a couple of minutes...

Hope you'll come by and comment........

18. Tell me where it's posted, and I will. Hey, you want to hear about a miracle?
I had a project on absolute deadline yesterday (with BIG stakes for my customer, as is was the launch of a new product line), and I worked for SEVEN HOURS on it (despite all of Mrs R's worries), and today not only did my shoulder hurt only about a six out of ten, but I walked in a straight line, without limping, down to the corner and back. Maybe not much for most people, but something indeed for me.

Small victories loom larger sometimes, yes?

I feel good.

17. Sweet! My dog Chloe is snugged up next to my leg, and Katie,
my youngest cat, is snoozed out right next to Chloe.

19. It's great to see members of those famously-opposed species get along, isn't it?
The kitten was SO worried yesterday, when she couldn't find the puppy anywhere.
