1. I collect art (paintings and photos). I also collect original comic book pages that mention STDs.
Odd, I know, but that's how it goes.

I dated a guy called Jose who collected old comic books. They were fascinating , more fascinating than Jose ,as it turned out LOL

Any particular kind of art?

8. I'm a fan of abstract and abstract expressionism
and also good religious (Jewish and Christian) art and cultural art.

All the art I have so far is by living artists, since I can't afford the dead guy stuff. :-)

And then, of course, the collection of my own hundreds of paintings, but that's not really collecting, that's just accumulating a pile of unsold paintings.

9. Kangol hats are the ones that Samuel Jackson wears backwards with the kangaroo logo
I got started with a few of the beer tap handles when I was at a bar that was no longer carrying a certain beer anymore. The bartender gave me the tap handle because he knew that I liked the beer. I then went on to ebay where there are millions of them.

see me in the silly hat

for some reason, I like traveling light.

Maybe it's because the hunt was the really fun part.

11. one of the things my sisters and I always do is
haunt Goodwill stores , Salvation Army stores ,and antique malls, looking for treasure when we have our "sisters day".

Ann, my oldest sis (she is 68 ) is marrying a very cool Englishman in July, so she will have a whole new playground. She loves the auctions there.

14. what genre of music?
I have some decent Bob Dylan CDs, and also a bunch of classical CDs.

When oneighty passed away he gave me his classical CDs, and his books about Japan in his will , so with his and the ones I already had , it is quite a collection

30. Pretty much every genre you can think of
iTunes says that I have 20 different genres of music, but I'm sure that if I were to have someone really picky about genres analyze my collection, they'd probably find more than 100.

12. Cookbooks and recipes.
I used to collect other things but a current lack of space prohibits that. Plus I'm not so into "stuff" anymore. Recipes at least let me make other people happy while allowing me to be creative.

21. I collect a little of everything, it seems...
Therefore I am not a "serious" collector.

But, if I had to choose one thing, it would be my old woodworking hand planes. I've restored a couple (that had no particular value) and I use them in my furniture building. And I have a couple more waiting to be restored.

My next hand plane purchase will probably be a really good new one, though.

28. U.S. Presidential collectibles
Coins, medals, stamps, and books related to the presidents - an interest of mine since I cracked open an encyclopedia article on them when I was 6.

I also have every ticket stub from every concert and sporting event I have seen since my first show in 1981. I have dozens of concert shirts.

I used to collect shot glasses, but had to quit a few years ago because the storage and cleaning got to be a hassle. I still have them, but they are safely confined in a container. I would buy them at every national park or city or any other place that sold souvenir ones.

I also have a considerable collection of Jack Daniel's memoribilia, going back to 1982. These are also stored for now. Collectibles take up space, which is a precious commodity in itself. :-)

33. Way too many hobbies!
For years, I collected comic books. Not anymore--it got to be a $200 a month habit, so I had to quit.

Right now, mostly mythical animals--pegasi and dragons--and real life felines occupy most of my collecting.

I also collect books, DVDs, colored pens and markers, and my absolute favorite collection is trivia. At least the last one doesn't pollute my space. :)
