Just returned from Pompeii. (dialup warning)

Very interesting exhibit at the Mobile (AL) Exploreum.
Miz t. and I celebrated 38 years of 'wedded bliss' there with some close friends.
Had lunch at a great Indian restaurant afterwards.

On the way home we stopped at the 5 Rivers Delta Resource nature center. FANTASTIC!
It's brand new. In fact the grand opening is Friday with a Blues Festival this week-end.

All in all a very good day.

2. I've been trying to go there,

just procrastinating I guess. Last year I visited Pompeii, Naples, Rome, and Vatican City...in 1 weekend! I STILL don't think I'm caught up on sleep! :rofl:

For awhile I was thinking that I'm the only liberal around this area!

I tell ya, being a liberal active duty member stationed around here sure is lonely. It kind of reminds me of the Star Trek saying "Beam me up Scotty...there's no intelligent life here"!

I was Air Force, kinda.
Alabama Air National Guard.
Got my wings in '64 and went on to an airline career with TWA.

My username is definitely lame. USAF...you got that one, right? The last 3 letters refer to my job...TMO. Sorry, that info just crossed my mind at that moment! :shrug:
