Looks like I picked the wrong day to stop sniffing glue
Edited on Thu Apr-12-07 07:58 PM by alarimer
I found out that I was not selected for an interview for a job I applied for a couple of weeks ago. Though it would have meant a move if I got the job, it is one of the few openings that would be a step up for me. Those are few and far between in this organization. People rarely leave. And this is the first time I didn't even get an interview. I don't know why either. Unless my application just didn't make it there but I mailed it in plenty of time. I have applied for at least 7 of these jobs over the last 10 years and always gotten an interviews but have never gotten the job so I don't suppose I would have gotten this one either. I am in what is essentially a dead-end job, no promotions, not even a raise unless it is a cost of living thing. I have been really frustrated in my job lately and I don't know what to do. I have to go somewhere else but the outlook is a little bleak out there. But this job is sucking the life out of me, I do know that.

On the plus side, I did get to see the Blue Angels practice for a show they are doing this weekend. They flew right by my building (and set off numerous car alarms LOL).

Maybe I should become the "War Czar".

1. Sometimes the job is already spoken for, but legally they have to advertise.
I hate it when that happens. Just don't call me Shirley.
