15. when I ride my bike
up to some old joint that just has a neon "beer" sign out front, mismatched card tables and old beat up kitchen chairs and torn up tile from the '50s on the floor, I just KNOW the beer in that place is going to be the coldest in 3 counties.

And I'm gonna play every Merle Haggard song on the jukebox. :)

18. We went to a Merle concert many years ago and had
front row seats. He was so drunk that I spent the whole time wondering if he was going to end up in my lap. It was pretty pathetic, to be honest. We found out the next day that he had spent the afternoon and early part of the evening (he was very late for the show) in the hospital ER where they were trying to sober him up. That experience pretty much ruined any liking I had for him.
