I Think That I Need Anger Management

Twice in the last month, I have lost my temper. Once at work and today on DU. I really cannot stand it when people address me in a condescending manner. It makes my blood boil. Make your point without belittling me and we can be cool. Start off your post with an insult, and I fire back with everything in my arsenal.

Maybe I'm just getting old, and I don't care any more.

You wouldn't have lost your temper on DU if you didn't care what was posted/seen on a forum unless it has really become part of how you identify yourself. Spats with neighbors happen even in virtual communities.

And I tried an Anger Management class, but the teacher got on my nerves so bad that I dropped out after 2 sessions! I'm hopeless! And I AM old!

down to you. That gets my dander up too. If someone disagrees with me, that's fine. But if they think they have to do it in a way that demeans me, look out!

6. Only twice?

At one point in my life (trapped in a nasty political brawl at work) it felt like it happened all the time. I also don't hesitate to fire back at people who treat me disrespectfully here, which happens from time to time- I have had a lot of nasty things aimed at me of late when I call people out for their bs.
I too care too much. Anger management might not work for me very well...:)
