Maybe it's cause I'm a reporter so it's just instinct. But I fucking LOVE gossip. How about you? Admit it.

1. It was a general rule
in the Navy. If you don't hear a rumor by noon, start one. Any bad info about a shipmate could get from one end of base to the other in a nanosecond via the gossip train.

3. Heck, my unit had an unofficial "Rumor Control NCO"
whose job it was to sniff out, disseminate, and start rumors of all kinds.
