Salespeople - stop being so pushing ESPECIALLY when you have a buyer!!
Ok, so I'm looking at possibly getting a new laptop. I love Sony products and I found the exact model I wanted at Best Buy (Yeah, here comes the groans). I was ready to purchase this laptop but the salesperson was so annoying with all the extras he was trying to push that I gave up trying to actually buy the one thing I came in there to get. I told this guys that - I don't need peripherals, I don't need a bag, I don't want the geek squad to come to my place to redo my router, I don't want their Anti-Virus (I have 2 licenses with Zone Alarm), and stop trying to scare the bejesus out of me with the extended service plan!!

Ugh - everytime I was ready to buy he came up with something else I just had to have - I ended up just walking out of there, I didn't even say a word to him - just left!

1. Sony? Really?
Anyway, Sony aside, it can be pretty annoying. When in sales I suggest add ons, because sometimes people really need them. Most recently, selling Ballroom dance shoes, and asking people if they need shoe brushes for the soles. However, if they say no, it doesn't matter. It's trying to be helpful. When it gets really pushy, it's a problem.

3. The problem was I kept saying "no" and he kept pushing the sales

I appreciate the fact that he has to push these items, but I think a single "no" should suffice.

And Sony is a bluer computer company and I've had great luck with their products

5. The first time it's "no, thanks." ...
...After that it's, "I said NO!" with a scowl.

8. Good for you. I've done the same thing.
There's always someplace else that will take your money without giving you grief.

9. Do you want fries with that?
I had the opposite problem. I wanted to buy an Ipod, but could not find a salesperson at Nebraska Furniture Mart who would help me with it. They are locked up too, so I could not just grab one and walk to check-out. There was a helpful guy over by the computers, but the Ipods were not in his area

11. Yeah, but even at non-commissioned stores
they reward good sellers, and punish bad ones.
