What are some good words to live by?
I do think that "Do Unto Others As They Would Do Unto You" are some very good, basic words to live by.

17. One thing I always think of
If I ever start to feel sorry for myself, or start to complain, I think about that old Persian proverb "I murmured because I had no shoes, until I met a man with no feet ". Something like that.

I have used that in my life many times and it automatically pulls me out of my bullshit. :)

Anytime I have volunteered for some undertaking, it became a huge headache. Now I just keep my head and hand down when people need a sucker.
