4. I feel like I live there.
Drought zone here so we are turning into a desert.

Have you ever eaten cactus? I've never tried any.

Ice cream would be good in the desert, it's good everywhere! :9

7. yes (and don't forget tequila!)
Nopales - from the big green pads of prickly pear - kind of like a green vegetable - good in salads

and the tunas - the fruits of prickly pear - sweet, brilliant crimson color, the juice is sweet and has a delicate flavor - and rather mild considering the color! but can use the syrup like grenadine - in drinks, on ice cream etc.

Cholla buds - have tried them roasted on a campfire - nice vegetable

One thing I would really like to try is wine fermented from Saguaro fruit.

8. I take it that means it has lots of stuff in there?
I confess I have never tried Ben and Jerry's. I think the containers are too small. (teenagers in the house)

15. Oh yeah, all kinds of stuff...
"Chocolate & Vanilla Ice Creams with HEATH® Bar Chunks, White Chocolatey Chunks, Peanut Butter Cups & Chocolatey-Covered Almonds"

It's *good*, and there's tons of stuff to dig out, my favorite thing about ice cream. :) Buy a pint and HIDE IT!

5. I made pecan cookies, but the batter came out really, really
dry. I think the recipe person didn't specify enough butter. But the cookies were good anyway - a little chewy, not too sweet, with a little maple syrup brushed on top before baking. Yum! I'll probably have them with a cup of coffee and a banana for breakfast, too... ;-)

I take it you are wealthy? (pecans are OUT of sight, aren't they? sheesh around $8 lb and they are grown all over the place around here!))

12. ha! hardly! just found out I was getting a small
refund from my taxes, though, so splurged on pecans. They're divine in oatmeal with strawberries for breakfast. I have to hide them in little bags/tupperware boxes all over the house, though, otherwise my husband would devour the entire bag in a single sitting. He loves nuts. Has absolutely zero self-restraint when it comes to nuts.
