Chopper Lands at McDonald's for Lunch

<snip>
STOCKHOLM, Sweden, April 17 (UPI) -- Swedish aviation officials are trying to decide whether power grid inspectors broke any rules Tuesday by landing their helicopter at a McDonald's.

The four inspectors apparently got hungry, The Local reported. They landed at a highway rest stop in South Stockholm.

Witnesses who saw the chopper come down assumed it had made an emergency landing and called police. The responding officers found the inspectors eating lunch.

Busy week there in Sweden... But, no *FREE* beer. (But, I've heard they have beer in their McD's) :)

1. Army national guard used to do that.
I was in the air guard in Birmingham.
Next to us on the ramp was an army guard helicopter unit.
Sometimes they'd take a few of us to lunch in a chopper to a local barbecue joint.

2. They should have landed at Dunkin Donuts
Then the cops wouldn't have to drive to answer the call, just stand up and brush some sugar off their uniforms.

5. A test pilot for a local light helicopter company occasionally...
Lands in a field next door to a local family restaraunt in my old hometown.

Although with the new highway, I'm not sure if he does that anymore.

8. I forget where this happened
But a police helicopter once landed in a field across the street from a doughnut shop. The pilot got in a lot of trouble!
