My foot hurts so much I can hardly walk

I had been seeing a podiatrist last fall, but to make sure I didn't break any HMO rules, I called the primary care doc first... they told me to call the podiatrist.

The podiatrist's office is closed on Wednesday. :(

I've got my cane from back when I had bursitis in my hip, but people are asking "What did you do?"

Of course the answer is, "I don't know, I haven't seen the doctor yet." :shrug:

I'm concerned that the podiatrist is going to suggest bunion removal surgery. :scared: My guess is that the bunion is pushing the big toe in towards the others and that pressure is what is causing the pain.

I can't begin to imagine what foot surgery would do to my running.... (of course... pain in the foot has already been having an effect....)

Sounds like there may not be a choice for long-term relief. :hug:

I had frostbite in my foot years ago and it still drives me nuts. :(

Hope you get it resolved soon.

Although in the long term the surgery will more than likely help your running!

I would be far too much a baby to do that.

Today, I unearthed cane from back when I had bursitis in my hip, and I'm walking w/ a cane (and trying not to walk too much).

I'm also trying to keep my foot elevated.

I suggest you do it. It will only make you feel better.
