I moved into her house and all the utilities, etc are in her name.

I'm more amused than insulted by people that assume we have the same last name.

5. I don't plan on getting married....
but if I were, I wouldn't want to do it. I'm still bitter about a straight marriage, so I'm a firm believer in keeping things separate.

But I might hyphenate it later. I always thought I would would do that. But after my dad died, I wanted to keep my name as is.

With both my brother and father gone, I want to keep my name.

Just here, getting married is a reality, so it's hypothetical. But IF I ever do, I will probably keep our own names.
