One of my professors seems really uncomfortable talking to me
and it makes me uncomfortable, in turn.

We have design critique sessions and one-on-one help time, and he spends about 1/4 the amount of time talking to me that he does everyone else (and I need all the help I can get, in a graphic design software class.)

When I talk to him, he looks really uncomfortable, although he's very nice and always answers my questions. He can't seem to handle looking at me; his eyes dart around all over the place, and it's unnerving.

It's awkward and annoying, and I end up having to bug the graphic design majors in class for help, to avoid making the professor seem so uncomfortable.

It's really weird and I'm glad I only have a few weeks of the class left.

3. He's attracted to you and is afraid of the school's sexual harrassment policy.
:) It happens.

4. How tall is he?
Without further evidence, I'd guess he's intimidated by:

•your tallness

•your hawtness

•some combination of the two

7. Considerably taller than me.
He is unequivocally one of the most awkward adult men I have ever encountered; it's painful to watch him teach, and even more painful to have to talk to him when acts so weird.

9. Can you give us more examples of his awkwardness?
For some reason, I find this rather interesting. I want to dissect the guy's brain.

Do you know how long he's been teaching?

11. I don't know how long he's been teaching- over ten years, I think.
More examples... hmmm...

He did a PowerPoint presentation for the class, in the "character" of Abraham Lincoln, who, apparently, has a very garbled, high-pitched voice. It was painful to watch.

He slumps around and shrugs alot. Never takes his coat off, asked me about my husband/ how he was doing (following his stroke), and grinned the entire time I was explaining the debacle.

He's very, very nice, and I think he tries to get along well and be funny, but he laughs like a braying donkey at the DUMBEST things, makes AWFUL jokes, and seems rather socially inept.
