Eating locally grown foods...some interesting information
"On average, food travels 1500 miles from the farm to the grocery store and with globalization, we are importing more food from other countries and our food continues to travel even more. A study done in Iowa projected that if Iowans bought 10% of their food is would save around 300,000 gallons of fuel each year. It would also reduce carbon emissions by 7 million pounds annually"

1. It that's the study I think it is, a good friend of mine worked on it
I bought food from her CSA when I was there. She made me a believer about buying local!!

To find local growers, go to localharvest.org (might be .com).
