Yeah, we get our share of shitty weather up here but let me tell you, the first warm, sunny day in New England is absolutely the best of the year.
Been out in the yard all day cleaning up & getting rid of the winter's wrath. It's been raining and cold here for about 10 years (seems like) and today it's in the upper 70's (feels like 90 in the sun).
Anyhooooo, had to run an errand. Driving down Main Street in my town is a joy to behold. EVERY shop has it's doors open. Sidewalks are full of walkers. Tennis courts are teaming with activity. Driver's have all their windows down and stereos playing. Windows are open in every house. Parks are full and every yard has spring activity.
Best of all? Everyone is happy. I mean EVERYONE has a shit-eating grin on their face today. It really is a sight to behold.
Yeah, Florida has nice weather just about year around, as does Southern California and we often wish (starting oh around November 1) we didn't have to put up with the snow and cold but i'll tell you. Every year, on the first perfect day of the year, nothing beats living in New England. Nothing.
Just wanted to share. I'm off to rake out more gardens.
:hi:
Peace.
