Has anyone ever mudjacked concrete before?
Random question... but we're mudjacking our front porch, walkway, and driveway... I'm sure this will all sink again - in time - but I keep wondering if the little holes they're boring into our concrete are worth the money we're saving not to repair the concrete traditionally.

1. We had it done on our driveway several years ago
and it hasn't sunk since. Hope you have the same luck with yours. I think it was well worth the money and a lot cheaper than replacing the concrete.

2. What area of the country do you live in?
I'm in the foothills of the Rockies... the soil can be a bit unreliable around here.

4. Tell me more
I was wondering if I could get a walkway mudjacked and what it might cost. Its only 10 feet long and needs to raise ~3 inches. Do you think that is too small of a job for a company to come out for?

Hope it works out for you.

5. Well this is what I'm looking at out my window...

they've drilled little holes in our porch and are filling them with dirt. They are raising our driveway also. The porch is in the worst condition - perhaps about 6 inches. Our walkway is about 30 feet long and our porch is about 2 by 6. They're charging us $700 for the work.

I'm sure no job is too small for this service. I'll have to see the results of their work, but I'd check it out.

8. Thanks
I'll have to look into it. That would be a lot cheaper and easier on my back than laying a new brick walkway.

6. Is that what those holes in my driveway are from?
Thanks for clearing up one mystery.
