Not the casual, "How are you doing?", or, "How ya doin'?" But, "How are we doing?" As though, someone is concerned about how I am doing my job.... is that what it means?
I recently started working at a big-box home-improvement retail store, because: #1 it's the nearest workplace to my home, #2 I really enjoy my specialty department and I feel I have a lot of knowledge to offer customers, #3 I want to get in shape and I hate sitting on my ass all day. Yes, I happen to have a Masters degree in a health/education science. But, I've decided I don't want to do that anymore. Why should that be anyone's concern?
Loss Prevention people are sniffing around me with great interest. 'oh no they saw me eat that misplaced candy bar at closing time that one night, last week'! And I'm thinking, this corporation is really f***ing stupid to be allowing these loss prevention people to devote their clock hours on me. By doing that, is company "loss", right there.
I would love any responses, about anything I wrote. :D
