Which wedding registries would you pick?

1. Are you giving or getting the gift?
I usually buy something from a local artist for weddings because

a) I like supporting art
and
b) It's more memorable than all the "stuff" the happy couple will get.

2. Yes but the tough thing with art is that what your tastes might be....
...might not necessarily be the taste of the person receiving the gift

4. Dollar Store, Wal-Mart, K-Mart, and J-Mart

Amazon is a great option, especially for people that are out of town. Williams Sonoma is nice. I can't think of another place that wouldn't already be covered by Amazon or Williams Sonoma.

5. Yeah, I'm thinking that should cover it.
Amazon alone probably covers it, but I do love WS. Thanks for the input! :hi:

8. Target's good.
But the ones you've picked sound pretty fine. Mustn't be greedy!

Although greed can be seductive: www.tiffany.com/registry/default.aspx?isMenu=1

Which is why I'll probably add Target too, and be done with it. :)

Hehe, I'll end up like Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany's, with a sterling silver phone dialing wand...

No dialing wands, but let's just say I get excellent service at Tiffany's.

10. Target
Seriously. The wedding present we use the most is a SurroundSound DVD that we got by returning little things people got us from Target and exchanging them.

14. We went with Bed, Bath, Beyond...
and we'll probably register with Macy's too.

I really like Williams Sonoma's stuff, of course, but it's just a teeny bit pricey.

23. We chose Target cuz there are a gazillion of them...
And so people we knew from different states were able to head there and shop. Theoretically, that is. Both the husband and I come from families where cash gifts are the norm. So we used the money to buy the things off our registry ourselves. :)
