1. Daniel Craig. No question.
That scene in "Casino Royale" with Daniel Craig in those skin tight swimtrunks. Yummmy. :-)

2. It was a tastefully done scene.
The press and photos of him had me thinking the whole scene would be gratuitous... much to my amazement, when he walks out of the water, they cut to the next camera angle just before anyone can see the outline of his sausage. A very mature approach.

Okay, we missed the outline of his sausage, but I was looking at the movie as a movie made in modern times - times that usually lack such dignity and grace.

5. Me? Why Bond, of course.
But I still think he's channeling McQueen. And I might feel differently if I had watched a McQueen film last. :)

11. Daniel Craig, by a mile
Daniel Craig is great, but it's almost a default victory; AFAIC, Steve McQueen couldn't act his way through onionskin paper. In the '60s, there was a market niche for a rugged leading man who was prettier than Lee Marvin but uglier than Clint Eastwood, and he happened to fit it.
