What did everyone grill this week? I grilled bratwurst a couple times, pork tenderloin, burgers, steak, and polish sausage.

the every night grilling season now. it gets down to -30 or -40 here in the winter. I will still grill, but we usually cook indoors in the winter. This time of year, outdoor cooking is the way to go.

We grill year round here. I had steak & chicken on the grill this week. ETA: Plus I grilled veggies. Love those on the grill. :9

6. That tri-tip steak must be a West Coast thing. I've read about it, but never seen it
in any store here in New England. What's it like? Redstone

8. Tri tip is bottom sirloin.
A very good cut of meat. Also known as Santa Maria steak. The only place I've ever found it either in the Midwest or on the East coast is Costco.

16. I don't think we have any Costcos around here, but then again, I do not shop. I'll have to
ask Mrs R if there's one in the area. Redstone

5. Never goes away for us. We have the grill hooked up to a 100-gallon propane tank, so we can burn
through the worst of winter weather and not worry about running out of gas. Redstone

I don't mind grilling in deep snow and bitter cold... I just hate changing the propane tank in the winter.

Changing the propane tank with completely numb hands in 30 below. It is an experience all its own.

12. I didn't see the part about 30 below until after I made my post. Even Mrs R, the diehard griller,
would declare it closed season at THAT temperature. It never gets much below 20 above here; our winter average is about 30, I think, so we're kind of in the junior leagues when it comes to winter grilling. Redstone

14. Our January average high is around 20 above here.
I love the cold, but it's tough to grill in teens and 20's below. It's also tough to grill in a blizzard, which we also get here.

13. Well, the 100-gallon tank isn't JUST for the grill; we're not COMPLETE maniacs...
it's also for the kitchen stove and the propane firelogs. But damn, is it ever convenient to have a guy come and fill up the thank every month or so instead of having to lug those 20-pounders around. Redstone
