6. Hi! Am up
Am having a huge attack of hives (from knees to armpits, including my forearms.) It's been going on for over an hour. Took my meds. It will subside, and I will call the allergist in the AM. Haven't had an outbreak like this in well over a year. Got on DU to distract myself so I don't scratch....damn this itches!


Other than that, life is good :hi:

but am still breaking out some.

12. I feel for ya
I suffered with them chronically for about 6 months once. Never knew what caused them. Did many rounds of Prednisone, before the Dermatologist had me do a procedure called wicking which involved wearing 100% cotton pajamas in the shower, getting wet, and then sitting for 15 minutes in the wet pj's. I have to say as unpleasant as it was -- it did work.

I always knew when the hives were coming -- they always started on my eyelids. Once the eyelids started itching I knew that the rest of my body would soon follow.

I hope you feel better soon. :hi:

Have been tested for all sorts of things. Am going to ask about being tested for gluten intolerance.

Never had them on my face, much less my eyelids...poor you!
Have read that for some who are allergic to hair dye, the hives start around the eyes.


The hives are finally subsiding just now. Only a couple of itchy spots...just had almost two hours of hives as big as dinner plates mostly on trunk of my body.

I'm usually not up this early. Woke up around 4:30 and couldn't get back to sleep.
Then as I was flipping around the stations I ran across that hideous Michelle Malkin. No going back to sleep after that.

She was beating up a priest who has giving sanctuary to an illegal alien being threatened with extradition. Extradition would mean separation from her/his child, who is an American citizen.
