What's the strangest thing your pet eats?
I have a cat that loves little pieces of cantaloupe and bananas. The cantaloupe has to be really ripe and the banana has to be almost green. Weird eh?

Since I do not purchase rubber bands, I do not know how he finds them. He also loves anything I am trying to eat.

5. One of my cats eats cantalope
She loves it and so did her mother cat. I've heard of other cats liking it too.

Another of my cats was very fond of granola.

Another of my cats adored maple syrup! He also liked plain yoghurt but I didn't think that was too peculiar for a cat.

We had a cat who would eat corn - on the cob!

6. my arm!
My 6-mo old little cat likes to reminisce about his days with mom-cat, by kneading my arm with his little sharp-clawed toes, while he sucks on my arm and slobbers all over it.

7. My cat HOINK bit into a tube of superglue once...
I had no idea what had happened until I found the tube on the floor with tooth-holes in it. She was freaking out, drooling all over the place, and so was I (not drooling, but I was freaking out). Luckily, she just got a big chunk on her tooth and didn't get her mouth stuck shut.

8. one cat will eat the other cat's
barf...
It is pretty nasty.
Otherwise they really only eat Meow Mix.
The one that eats the other cat's barf does try to steal table scraps now and then.

I had this Momcat who had a barfing problem and her daughter would run over whenever she'd chucked and snarf like it was the finest cuisine.

Bleck.

10. My old bra...
Jack has a fetish about my stinkiest old bra. He acts as if it is catnip. He rolls around the floor and pulls it across his face, gnawing on it and rubbing it around his face and then belly. He's happiest when he's gotten it wrapped around his body and has to lay there with his face in a cup.

Freak.

if you know that Jack is 25 pounds of black DSH with a tiny pin-head and one eye. :)

He has this "Baby Huey" look about him -- his body is so fat that when he's on his back his legs just flail around in the air as he tries to right himself.

This morning I didn't see the bra in my room (like is usually is) but when I came home tonight I found he'd dragged it out into the garage.

I'll try to get a picture of him "in the act" and post it. :)

23. Biscuits
The cats are MAD for biscuits! They sniff the air when biscuits are baking and track me down, yelling incessantly for them. Simba is more aggressive and shoves Monty out of the way to get biscuit pieces; Monty is more passive and will take whatever he's given, preferably if we distract Simba so Monty can eat in peace. Simba will also stand on his back paws (what others would he stand on?) and grab the biscuit pieces in his front paws and eat them like a squirrel eats. It's very cute. We call him "Commander of the Biscuit Brigade."

They also love Nacho Cheese Doritos, but biscuits are primo with them.

No butter, please. She'll eat around the butter.

This is the second cat we have had that eats rolls.

Sandy eats spaghetti (bad for her, I know, but she's on her fifth year eating it with no ill effects)

We had a cat who loved banana milkshakes.

He will eat salsa, chili, spaghetti sauce. I actually saw him one time dipping his paw into the salsa jar. I let him have my left over eggs with ketchup on them the other day and he licked off the ketchup and left the eggs.

35. oh yeah,
my other cat tries to eat medicine, mostly synthriod (used for hyopthyroid). The one and only time he actually got a pill, I freaked out, and ended up calling a vet emergancy room, but apparently cats and dogs have higher thyroids than people, so everything was fine.

36. I've never seen this from any cats my family's had, but...
...I heard that if you throw away cotton swabs with earwax on them, cats will go as far as digging them out of the waste basket to eat it.

But I should remind everyone not to stick cotton swabs in their ears as you may not only hurt yourselves, but pack the wax in worse. Check out what got built up in this guy's ears from doing that:

47. My poodle goes wild for Klondike Bars
He's 14 and has lost much of his sight and hearing, but the sniffer works great and leads him to the chocolate smell of my daily fix of Heath variety Klondike Bars. He'll do frantic circles around the computer chair while I'm munching on them, then tip over the trash can and rip the crumpled discarded Klondike wrappers into a thousand pieces.

Yesterday I was shocked when he went equally berserk when I was spooning from a tub of Peanut Butter Cup frozen yogurt. He kept leaping at the container and got in a few licks near the top rim. And when I make a frozen yogurt pie with Cool Whip, he thrills to clean up the mixing bowl when I leave it out for him.

At the dinner table, green beans have always been his favorite, along with any other green vegetable.
