Poll question: A Quinn Martin Production... IN COLOR! (ACT 1)
Edited on Thu Jan-15-04 05:31 PM by arwalden
(Here's a poll question that's destined to sink quickly.)

Do you have a favorite "QM" production?

-- Allen

EDIT: Added "The Fugitive" (shame on me)

1. I did like "Cannon"
William Conrad as a "portly" detective...driving around in that Lincoln Continental Mark IV. Great show! :-)

8. That Was Back When TV Shows Had REAL Theme Songs
The animated moving "dot" on the Cannon opening credits was always memorable. (If I'm remember it correctly, that is to say.)

7. Not all "Fugitive" episodes
were in black and white. But o.k., I'll go stand over here for awhile.

16. The Fuge was the first series I followed religiously.
"Starring David Janssen as 'The Fugitive'" The last (fourth) season was in color. In the early 90's, A & E aired the series. I taped every one of them and still have them. The tapes are probably going bad by now, but I enjoyed watching them at the time.

5. God, they're all awful!
I always found them the most boring shows on TV. I'm voting for Ralph in this election. (Ralph Edwards?)

12. I remember the closing credits of "The FBI"...
When Efrem Zimbalist, Jr. would walk out of the FBI building into a brand new Ford sedan (a new one each year) and drive off...with the end of the credits saying that "The FBI is produced with the cooperation of the FBI and J. Edgar Hoover, Director"

13. Poll Update:
In spite of it's late addition, The Fugitive, has already soared to one vote, and is now within striking distance of The Untouchables.

15. I had to vote for Barnaby...
cause it's the show that started me on my path to becoming a propmaster. (Doesn't seem like a 100 years ago...it was a hunnert years ago!)

17. Remember the hammer and chisel at the end?
Barnaby Jones, I guess, even though Buddy Ebsen was a Republican. OF course, I didn't know that then.

20. Umm.. was that a hammer and stamp?
This was the trademark of Mark VII (?) productions of
Jack Webb; those were Jack's hands, if my dim memory serves
me well.

What about 12 o'Clock High? the last season or two were
in color after they "killed" Gen. Savage (Robert Lansing).Ï

22. I voted Streets of SF, but...
wasn't Mod Squad a QM production as well?

It was required viewing in the student center lounge during my freshman year in college.
