My friend lost her job--2nd time in 18 months
Edited on Sun May-06-07 07:46 PM by chimpsrsmarter
she got fired 6 weeks ago but didn't tell me until today, i didn't ask her why she didn't tell me but she did tell me why she got fired, basically the same reason she was canned from her last job--tardiness and calling in sick.

Now she's selling Herbalife, i bought a months worth for $100 because she really needs to generate sales. She worries me, i love her to death but something is going on with her, her life has kind of been a downward spiral since her mother died 2 1/2 years ago.

Anyhow they have a lot of bills to pay, stuff they're behind on and stuff thats coming up and she's no luck finding a new job.

1. Sounds like she needs to learn the hard way to be responsible
Tardiness and calling in sick when you are not are not something that looks good to a potential employer. About the only good thing that came out of my working for Mcdonalds in high school was learning that.
Has she always been this way with work or is she maybe depressed or something?

2. well i've known her for 8 years, the first 5 she had the same job, showed up
did her thing, got raises, her mother died and she had a really tough time, then she and her husband had a really bad patch. she left her job for another better paying one and got fired after 5 months, she was unemployed for a bit and then went back to her old job, she was back there for about a year and then she got fired. Previous to that i don't really know many details of her employment history.

Maybe her mother dying was the catalyst, we've discussed it many times, my own mother died when i was 17 so i understand how devastating it is.

4. Sounds like she's suffering from depression and perhaps "fight and flight' anxiety disorder.
