NPR Bush Joke
It is the Annual Joke show today. The joke goes:
Bush angered a speech writer:
The teleprompter begins.
"They say my economic policy is geared toward the rich. They are wrong, I can explain. They say I lied in my State of the Union. They are wrong, I can explain. They say I was AWOL durring my service in the millitary. They are wrong, I can explain. They say I didn't win the popular vote. They are wrong, I can explain.
The teleprompter ends.
"Take it from there George."

It was kind of lame, but I liked it.

2. yeah. i was about to say - 'bush bashing on NPR'?
PHC is the only show on NPR that you'll hear anything like bush bashing.

worship is the official NPR policy.

3. I like it too.
I suppose it would be hard to tell it so that it sounds hilarious, but just close your eyes and imagine it really happening.... Delicious (and if only).

Remember the time he read aloud the note that had been put there for his attention ("Message: I care")?

You know, when George keeps repeating "Make no mistake", I can't help wondering if he too is reading his stage instructions!
