8. You know what's interesting to me?
On NYPD Blue he speaks with this hardass New York cop accent. When he's just Dennis Franz, he is as erudite as anyone I've ever heard speak. It was an odd contrast the first time I heard him as his non-cop self.

as a hard-boiled brooklynite. :D

But the few times I've heard him speak he's just tremendous. I would love to see DF on stage. :D

14. Send it to Germany, write it fast and send it...
I looove that guy. I watched NYPD Blue here in Germany, against some protest from friends of mine, who didn't understand my passion.
I just have to say, he has a real complex charakter, esp. in NYPD blue.
And he's very uncommon for an american actor, at least it seems to me.
Most actors are just types or "imgage"-actors, you understand at first glance. There's nothing to think about. He's the kind of guy, you don't notice. Maybe you even don't like him, when you see him first. But he somehow grows to you slowly and becomes more and more complex and interesting. Sh*t, I talk nonsense, 'cause my english isn't good enough to say what I wanna say. He's maybe the greatest charact-actor in the USA. Write your book, send it to me,
Hello from Germany,
Dirk

16. Sure, as long as you explain how a bald, fat, alcoholic, racist...
gets all of those hot women.
Franz is a great actor. Andy is one of the most complex characters ever on episodic TV, but the producers needed to end the show a few years ago. It is now a ridiculous soap opera with Andy as this Job-like character (the Job knows?) Everything around him meets a terrible end. I pity the poor puppy that he will buy for little Theo.
