10. I will borrow some video tapes of the show from a friend.

She as all the episodes.

I just stopped watching TV for awhile.

I will be getting a 27 inch TV from a friend of mine, she is getting a new flat screen TV.

All I have now is a 19 inch, I can watch West Wing on the big screen now.

The first 7 or 8 are and then it skips to season 2. I'm trying to find the other episodes before I move ahead. If I find them, I'll let you know.

I may just end up buying the box set. I think I like it that much.

I haven't started watching the Tudors yet, but am getting to it.

I just finished watching Kindred: The Embraced. I'm sorry that show only lasted one season.

I also want to watch the Discovery series on the Planet, but the first episode doesn't work. I'll watch the other ones anyway.

30. Beta? Oh yeah....

Mr. Z. was convinced that Beta had better picture quality than VHS, and it probably did. So, we hung on to ours while Sony was shooting itself in the foot by not sharing the technology with other companies. Eventually, VHS won the war and we (packrats) still have dozens and dozens of Beta tapes, despite my insistence that my DH throw away one box full. Our Beta player still works.

Now, we also have dozens of VHS tapes. And dozens of DVDs.

You'd think I'd have learned by now... :eyes:

31. If I remember the beta tapes were smaller than VHS and didn't have the same

amount of time on the tape.

Isn't there a way to hook up the beta machine to a VCR or a TV with a built in VCR.

That is some well built beta machine.

32. The tapes are a little smaller....

We have connected the Betamax to the tv or to the computer in order to transfer tapes to disc, but it's mostly one more piece of equipment without a permanent spot. (In fact, it's on the floor by my feet as I type.)

Then there's the turntable for all the old vinyl....
